Fishery Rules

Clear, fair rules designed to protect the fish, the lake and your experience.

General Conduct

  • All anglers must report to us on arrival and departure.
  • Respect other anglers, the fish, the wildlife and the surroundings at all times.
  • Noise, shouting, aggressive behaviour or antisocial conduct will not be tolerated.
  • Dogs only by prior arrangement and must be under control at all times.

Tackle & Rigs

  • Minimum mainline breaking strain as agreed in our booking information.
  • Safe rigs only — no fixed leads, bent hooks or unsafe presentations.
  • Barbed or micro‑barbed hooks only if specified; otherwise follow our stated hook policy.
  • Leaders, leadcore and tubing to be used in line with our safety guidance.

Fish Care

  • Large, well‑padded unhooking mats and suitable nets are mandatory.
  • Fish must never be left unattended on the bank or in slings.
  • Use carp care products on hook holds and any visible marks.
  • Keep fish low to the ground when photographing and return them promptly.

Bait & Litter

  • Only quality baits to be used; no nuts unless agreed in advance.
  • Do not overbait — we value water quality and fish health.
  • All litter, line and waste must be taken home with you.
